MedAudit iOS Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 16, 2026 · Version: 1.0 · App: MedAudit · Provider: Jorion Inc.

1. Scope

This policy describes the data practices of the MedAudit iOS app. MedAudit is an informational medical-billing reference tool for users in the United States. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, determine insurance coverage, or decide whether a charge is correct.

2. Data You Choose to Submit

The app does not require an account. When you use a lookup or review feature, the app sends only the information needed to return the requested result:

  • Billing, HCPCS, or diagnosis codes you enter;
  • Optional billed prices and quantities you enter for comparison or review.

Codes can reveal health-related information. We therefore treat submitted codes and bill line items as sensitive data. Do not enter names, member IDs, addresses, dates of birth, or other identifying information; the app does not ask for them.

The iOS app does not upload bill images or documents and does not request access to your camera, photo library, contacts, precise location, HealthKit data, microphone, or advertising identifier.

3. How Data Is Used

Submitted codes, prices, and quantities are transmitted over HTTPS to our service only to provide code meanings, public price references, and the informational bill review you request. They are not linked to an account, used for advertising, sold, or used to track you across apps or websites.

Requests are marked not to be cached. We do not intentionally retain the submitted request content after returning the result. Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical data, such as IP address, request time, and error information, to deliver and protect the service. Such technical records are retained only as reasonably necessary for security and operations.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Limited data may be processed by infrastructure providers acting on our behalf to host, secure, and operate the service, or disclosed when required by applicable law.

5. Local Storage

The app may remember recently entered billing codes on your device for convenience. This local history is not synchronized to an account. You can remove it by deleting the app.

6. Security and Retention

We use HTTPS and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security. Submitted request content is processed transiently; limited operational records are retained only for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified according to our operational retention practices.

7. Children

MedAudit is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may stop all processing by not submitting a query or by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Because the app has no account and does not ask for identifying details, we may not be able to associate an anonymous query with you.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date and version above identify the current policy.
